Credits
TransportAPI redistributes data from a variety of official transport data sources after validation and standardisation. We require that you attribute the TransportAPI as the source of data in any apps or web services that you develop. Acceptable attributions include on the start-up screen of an app, or on an about page describing an app or service.
Attribution statements for source data published on the TransportAPI platform
- Train service live departures/ Train service timetables are provided by Network Rail. The data “contains Information of Network Rail Infrastructure Limited licensed under the following: licence”;
- Train service live departure alterations are provided by National Rail Enquiries through Darwin Push Port in accordance with this: licence";
- Tube service live departures/ Tube service timetables/ TfL Bus timetables/ TfL Bus live departures are provided by Transport for London. These services are “Powered by TfL Open Data” as per this licence;
- Bus-tram-metro-ferry timetables/ Rail coach timetables/ National Express coach timetables outside London are provided by Traveline in the Traveline National Dataset, with stops data from NaPTAN, and operators data from the NOC database, all under the Open Government Licence v3;
- Journey Planning services are provided by Traveline South East under these Terms and Conditions and by Transport for London under the terms above;
- Live bus departure times are provided by Traveline under its NextBuses services which “contains public sector information licensed under the Open Government Licence;
- Cycle routing is provided by CycleStreets (and OpenStreetMap)
- Car journey routing and the returned geometry are based on OpenStreetMap. Bus stop positions are corrected using data from OpenStreetMap. Bus route geometry (alpha feature) is generated using OpenStreetMap. This is licensed under the Open Data Commons Open Database License as described here (We also use OpenStreetMap for our map displays. See on-page credits)
